Stonewall is Fully Accredited!
The official Virginia Department of Education 2014-2015 Accreditation Ratings came out Tuesday September 16, 2014. Stonewall Jackson is pleased to report that Stonewall Jackson is fully accredited! For information please visit the Virginia Department of Education website at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/. This is based on Stonewall's 2013-2014 SOL assessment results and graduation rate. Congratulations to our students, faculty and entire school community!
Military Opt-Out Window
Parents or eligible students who wish to prevent disclosure of directory information need to complete this form and return it to the Counseling Office by Wednesday, September 24, 2014.  If you have questions, please contact the Counseling Office at 703-365-2992.
Senior Make Up Pictures
Attention Seniors: Victor O’Neill Studios will be taking Senior Make-ups on September 22nd  through September 24th at Stonewall Jackson HS in the auditorium, so check your mail for information they will be sending home.  If you do not receive any information in the mail, please check the schedule here to find your date and time.  No changes can be made to the schedule since there are so many students.  If you have had your picture taken by another photographer and want to submit that photo, please click here for more information.
Free Movie Screening
You are invited to a free screening of the documentary, “AMERICAN PROMISE”, Saturday, October 4, 2014, from 6 – 9 p.m. at Gar-Field High School, 16000 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192. The film will focus on self identity, assimilation/acculturation, and achievement of two African American young men attending a very elite school in our nation. Supplemental Period
SJHS will be changing the Flex period this year to a Supplemental Period.  The purpose of the supplemental period is to support student learning by providing supplemental instructional time to students and teachers. The supplemental period will be utilized as additional class time within certain guidelines. Please click here for more information (en Español.)
Mandatory Concussion Training
Mandatory concussion training for sport athletes for 2014-2015 will be held at SJHS on the following days:
Wednesday, July 30, 2014 @ 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, October 29, 2014 @ 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, February 18, 2015 @ 6:00 p.m.

​SJHS Band Fundraiser
The SJHS Band is participating in a 2-month fundraiser at Glory Days Grill! This fundraiser actually works just a little bit differently: You may go out to any Glory Days Grill location in the NOVA area. All receipts need to be brought back to SJHS and submitted to Kevin Engdahl, the band director (just ask for a guest copy of the check.) This fundraiser takes place now and runs through October 6th. SJHS band will receive 10% from every purchase! Click here for a flyer for the event.

We welcome your checks at Stonewall Jackson High School, however, if your check is returned for insufficient funds, we will electronically present it to your bank for the face value plus a $35 processing fee and any protest or bad check return fee charged by your financial institution.  This action will be taken without further notice.  All returned checks referred for collection are subject to a $35 processing fee, any protest or bad check fee charged by your financial institution, and all other charges, interest and attorney's fees allowed by law.
