2015-16 IB and Specialty Program Application
Students interested in applying for Stonewall Jackson High School's International Baccalaureate program during the 2015-2016 school year, need to complete an application form. This form seems to work best in Internet Explorer. Click here for more information and the application. Applications must be posted by February 1, 2015.
School Zone
Please be mindful that Rixlew Lane is a school zone for Stonewall Jackson HS, Ellis Elementary and New Directions. The flashing lots are operational :30 minutes before school starts and :30 minutes after-school for each bell schedule. Due to being a zone with three schools, the speed limit is essentially 25 miles per hour throughout the day (~6:50 am) and into the evening (~ 6 pm).
Rising Freshman Parent Night
Stonewall Jackson High School will be hosting an information night for parents of rising freshman (current 8th graders) on February 3, 2015 at 6:30 pm.  Join us for information about your child's education and SJHS. 1:1 Digital Device Learning Initiative
SJHS will be distributing tablets for the remaining part of the school year to students who have met the requirements to receive tablets (completed Device Loan Agreement and paid $40 user fee) through Physical Education classes during the first week of February. For more information about the 1:1 Digital Device Learning Initiative, please see our link in the side menu.
Elective Fair Thursday, February 5th
Are you unsure about what some of Stonewall’s electives are about? Don’t know the difference between Independent Living and Nutrition and Wellness or Design Multimedia and Computer Information Systems??? Come to the first floor cafeteria on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5TH during all lunches to get more information on the elective classes that are offered at Stonewall. There will be tables set up and representatives there to answer any questions you may have. Please come and get information on what classes you want to take next year! 

SJHS TouchBase February 9th
On Monday, February 9, 2015, Stonewall Jackson High School will host its TouchBase Parent-Teacher Conferences for the second semester. We encourage parents/guardians to come out anytime between 7:30 AM and 9:50 AM to participate in 3-5 minute conferences with teachers. No appointment is required. Bus transportation will be provided for all students to report to school on a 3-hour delay.
Super Saturday
SENIORS:  Stonewall Jackson is again presenting Super Saturday on Saturday, February 7th from 9-12 for free professional help in completing the FAFSA form for Federal student aid.  Any senior parent needing FREE professional assistance to complete the FAFSA is welcome to come!  Informative presentations about FAFSA will be held at 9:15 AM and 10:15 AM in the auditorium.  If you have any questions, please see our flyer or contact Nancy Pomaranski, school counselor, at pomransk@pwcs.edu or 703-365-2992.
Class of 2015 Graduation
The Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2015 have been confirmed for June 9, 2015 at Jiffy Lube Live at 7:00 pm.  More information will follow at a later date. 
SplashDown Water Park Job Fair
The SplashDown Water Park Job Fair (see flyer) will be held Saturday, February 7th from 10am - 1pm at Stonewall Jackson High School in the 2nd floor cafeteria. Prince William County Parks & Recreation will be holding other job fairs, but this is the one students SHOULD attend if they want to work at SplashDown this summer. Click here for a list of summer positions available. Hiring managers will be present to interview for all open positions bu you must apply online prior to the job fair, print your completed application and bring it to the job fair. Go to www.pwcgov.org/jobs and click on the Job Listings link in the middle of the page. Under the Search Criteria box clear all selections and check the box for "Parks & Recreation - Seasonal & Part-Time Jobs", click "Go" box to find the job listings.

Cosmetology
Paper applications will be required to apply for the Cosmetology programClick here to download a copy of the application.  Students should print and submit completed applications to their school counselors who may then send them via the courier service to Stonewall Jackson High School Cosmetology Department.  The deadline for applications for 2015-2016 school year is March 31, 2015.  For further information call (703)365-2900 or email Melanie Switzer at Switzemh@pwcs.edu.
Mandatory Concussion Training
Mandatory concussion training for sport athletes for 2014-2015 will be held at SJHS on the following days:
Wednesday, July 30, 2014 @ 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday, February 18, 2015 @ 6:00 p.m.
